Brooks is 3 months!

I know these are almost three of the same picture - but I couldn't choose the cutest one, so you'll have to deal with all three. Brooks is 3 months old today and I can hardly believe it! Time really does fly by, and they really do grow up so fast! I don't know exactly how much he weighs, we'll see tomorrow, but I'm guessing around 11lbs. He is getting so big!

Rock Climbing

Our good friends (and future in-laws), Kristen and Nate, took us rock climbing the other day. They are serious rock climbers with their own gear and stuff, and they let us tag along and use all of their stuff. It was my first time climbing somewhere other than REI. It was a blast. Next time I'll make it all the way to the top! Tenley and Brooks had fun too, of course. They were both such troopers!
This is our climbing spot...Colorado is so beautiful!

Me, Kristen, and Tenley

That's Chad climbing.

That's me climbing!

Brooks thought he would try climbing, too!

Feeding Time!

It was a great day!

Just a Lazy Day

The three boys of the household.

Brooks was watching football with his daddy.

"Shhh...I'm watching the game with Dad!!!"

Brooks Smiles...A LOT!

Brooks just loves his changing table. He kicks, and smiles, and talks so much when I change his diaper. Usually we hang out and play there for a while.

Rockies vs. Astros

Well, we took Brooks to his first baseball game this weekend. He did really great! He slept through the first couple of innings, ate some dinner, and stayed awake long enough to see the Astros win. It was kind of chilly at the game, so we were thankful for his adorable Astros jacket (thanks Scoops). We went ahead and put his longhorn beanie on (thanks Mimi), just in case people weren't sure where we were from. Sometimes we really do shout TEXANS! That's the way we like it though.

Watching him grow!!!

Brooks is growing so much everyday. I think because he was so tiny, he has a lot of catching up to do. I read today that by 4-5 months a baby should double in size. Brooks just hit 9lbs. 11oz. - already double his birth weight and then some. He is finally growing out of some of his newborn clothes. He even has a couple of wrinkles on his legs.
There is so much that I love about my baby boy.

I love...
...that he can focus on my face
...that when you lift his legs close to his chest - he farts
...when he smiles at all my silly noises
...his bright, big, blue eyes (we'll see if they stay that color)
...how he stands up and practices being a "big boy"
...that he talks back
...how happy he gets on his changing table
...how soft his skin is
...how he struggles to lift his head when playing on his tummy
...that now he can hold on tight to my neck when I carry him around
...that he is a good eater
...EVERYTHING really!

Here are a couple of pictures that I've taken lately - how can you not just LOVE this baby!
