Laney had a great time gathering eggs! |
Easter Morning |
I love these two so much! |
I love this picture below for many reasons. First of all, I made the dress. That's right - around 11:00 the night before I decided to try and make a dress. I got the materials earlier in the week to try my hand at dress making. This Easter dress was my first attempt. It's reversible, has ruffles, and ties at the top. It was so super cute - but SUPER tight. The poor girl had to wear it for church and pictures, all the while it was digging into her armpits. But look at how cute it is! Look at how it brings out her beautiful blue eyes! I just love it. I'm going to have to get that fabric and try it again.
Seriously?! She is so cute! |
Brooks is getting better at posing and smiling for the camera. |
After church the kids finally got to eat their candy. Brooks was so sweet and wanted to share with Delaney. |
Delaney loved to shake her eggs! |
Okay, remember that I said how tight the dress was?! Here we are trying to get it off. First I tried to pull it down over her hips. Nope. That didn't work. But for a while she thought it was funny.
Here I went for the "pull it over the head" approach. It took quite a bit of effort, and she was crying the whole time, but we finally got it off.
We had a wonderful day as a family celebrating Jesus!
"After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, Mary Magdalene and the other Mary went to look at the tomb. There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it. His appearance was like lightning, and his clothes were white as snow. The guards were so afraid of him that they shook and became like dead men.
The angel said to the women, "Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples: 'He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see him.' Now I have told you."
So the women hurried away from the tomb, afraid yet filled with joy, and ran to tell his disciples. Suddenly Jesus met them. "Greetings," he said. They came to him, clasped his feet and worshiped him. Then Jesus said to them, "Do not be afraid. Go and tell my brothers to go to Galilee; there they will see me."" Matthew 28:1-10
